Suck Valley Way Bio...

Posted 7/02/2019

Friday 7th and Saturday 8th June 2019

How would you like to become a “Citizen Scientists” for a day?

We are having a 24 hour BioBlitz on the Suck Valley Way in Co Roscommon.

Eanna Ni Lamhna from RTE’s Mooney goes wild programme has very kindly agreed to come and open the event for us here in the Visitors Centre in Athleague Co Roscommon on Friday 7th June at 4.30pm. The event will finish on Saturday 8th June at 5pm.

We will have a team of Flora and Fauna experts to conduct the surveys and share their knowledge with us, so have those questions ready!

We are still in the early stages of organising lots of events for young and old, so please check back here as I will be adding more details as we have them.

We are also looking for any volunteers who might want to come on board with us in organising this event.

This promises to be a really enjoyable and worthwhile event, who knows what rare species we might find hidden in the undergrowth on the Suck Valley Way, we are after all in the centre of Irelands Hidden Heartlands…

Please share with any individual or group that you think might be interested in becoming involved.
