The River Suck flows between the borders of counties East Galway and West Roscommon and it’s valley is a 5 mile wide corridor each side of the River Suck, which is ideal for angling. As one of Ireland’s renowned pike fishing areas it is well worth including on your itinerary for your fishing holiday in Ireland. The River Suck produces many fine double figure fish each year with numerous specimens verified by the Irish Specimen Fish Committee year after year.

There are a number of important coarse and pike fishing venues in the area where you will find suitable access and facilities to fish, including Hollygrove Lake, Stoneham’s Lake, Lough Loung, Black’s Lake, Donamon and the main River Suck.
